Maitreya Buddha (namely Maitreya Bodhisattva Mahasattva) (Sanskrit Maitreya, Pali Metteyya), freely translated as Cishi, transliterated as Mei Yuliye, Mei Da Li Yao, is one of the eight great bodhisattvas of Mahayana Buddhism in the world.
